Fear does not excuse you, friend.
I coach thousands of business women and a common theme is always always always FEAR.
Why? Because when you’re truly an entrepreneur you are self employed and you never have security. (In the form of 401Ks, paid time off, raises, bonuses, etc.) It just causes a lot of fear and anxiety in people. It just does. That is normal.
I hear this a lot.
I’m scared…
… I’ll fail.
… that no one’s going to buy from me.
… about what to charge people
… to raise my prices.
… to start posting on a Facebook business page instead of a group.
… of hiring people
… somebody is going to steal all of my ideas from me.
… that I won’t make any money.
There is a common word in every single one of those statements; it’s “I”. When you’re consumed with fear and scared, you’re focusing only on you. It’s totally selfish. Because you think that you can only do the next step if and when you feel comfortable and secure, it’s not going to happen.
If you are waiting on you feeling good and secure and totally comfortable, it’s NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. Don’t just focus on you and your emotions, don’t forget about your responsibilities!
What you focus on and what you feed is what’s going to GROW. Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is.
When you’re thinking about all the reasons you can’t, you’re scared, and how it could go sideways, all those things manifest themselves and just grow bigger.
If you switch your focus from “I’m scared” to “I’m here to serve”, everything will change for you!!! The focus goes from “me-me-me” to I have a responsibility to serve the people in my world through my business and through my God-given talent.
Don’t be scared to follow your dreams.
Your kids are watching you. They are learning how to take on life and conquer fear by watching YOU.
Your household needs you to contribute. Use your gift and make money from it!
You have an audience to serve.
Fear doesn’t excuse you from your calling. I know the thing that terrifies us business owners most is actually the thing that God wants us to do. God does not want you to live in that place of obsessing; that’s what faith is all about, my friend!!
