In the Allwood Home Remodel, I JUST showed you the big reveal of my two-toned kitchen cabinets but I wanted to dedicate a whole post to JUST my gorgeous quartz counter tops and those sinks …. that’s right! There are two of them!
As a reminder …
This was our kitchen before. VERY.DARK. I wanted a lighter countertop that wouldn’t draw the eye down, I wanted your eye to go to the gorgeous window behind the sink.
We worked with Signature Solid Surface, Inc. a company in Excelsior Springs, MO and affiliated with Miller’s Cabinets, the company who built our island. They installed the counters, the farm sink and the prep sink and the gold faucets.
This is the sample that I fell in love with. (That fun pop of color in the background is my new wallpaper in my craft room which you can see here. )
I loved the veining of this one. It looks like classic marble but it is NOT.
It’s Polarstone Quartz. A manmade quartz made be more durable and easier to clean than granite and marble. Much more suitable for a family of 6!
We chose Arabescato Corchia for its elegant polished look.
We paired it with a classic white farm sink. I had installed one in our previous kitchen, which you can see here. We ordered this white through Signature Solid Surface, Inc. I love the size of farm sinks and you can hide dishes pretty deep in them!
Our pull-down kitchen faucets are both gold. Surprise Surprise. Because they match the cabinet hardware, which you can read about here.
This second prep sink is amazingly handy. Mr. Magic loves to use it for his meal prep work because it’s on the island with lots of space and so close to the stove top. (Remember I don’t cook so I like that he’s happy) Plus it’s the closest sink to the dog food area. Score!
Here’s one last look at that beautiful faux marble. Hard to believe it’s an engineered stone!!
In our last home we picked Silestone countertops and you can read about that decision and see that kitchen here. I will have to let you know which one I end up liking better.
