Dearest creatives,
It saddens me so much when I hear you dumb down the talent that you have. When I hear you take your craft for granted. Or when I can tell that you don’t think your creative talent is as important as “other professions”.
Friends, listen. The God of the universe entrusted to you with a creative talent to make this world a more beautiful place!!! And beauty matters to the Lord or He would have made the world all in black and white….. and we never would have known the difference. The Lord literally… thought up beauty!
He could have given you the mind of an engineer. He could have given you the brains of a mathematical genius. He could have given you the speed of an Olympic athlete. He could have given you the looks a supermodel.
But instead….. God gave you the ability to CREATE things and to make the world a more beautiful place. He gave you the ability to make something out of nothing. He gave you the ability to take something that is ugly and turn it into a piece of beauty. He gave you the ability to BLESS others with your gifts.
So, I implore you. Quite questioning your talent! Quit wishing you were talented in other areas! Quit wondering what the world will think of your creations! Your gift is JUST AS IMPORTANT as any other gift in this world. And we honor our Creator when we honor our giftings!
So today, go make something beautiful!!! This world is CRAVING beauty and needs what you have.
