Jewelry chest makeover

By May 23, 201016 Comments

A few months ago, a client asked me to paint this jewelry chest that she had stored in her garage for years.

She said I could whatever I wanted, but to keep it cream colored.

So I primed…

Crackled….

Glazed and highlighted all of the edges.

I kept the original hardware on and just toned it down with some champagne colored paint.

The top was a little unexciting…

so I added a harlequin stencil…

And called it done!

We waited on our drive for my client to pick it up.

It was the middle of April and still chilly outside, but somehow my daughter had put on her swimming suit for the occasion.

And did “artwork” on her legs. Just before my client pulled up. Nice.

Lori…. I hope you love your jewelry chest and I really don’t let my daughter run a muck. Really.
