REPOST FROM 3 YEARS AGO******

I have never been one to love traditional pumpkins (did you see my Uncle Fester pumpkin post?). And I’m not a fan of carving pumpkins because of the all pumpkin goo on the inside. Gross.

But I do love ALL of these pumpkins! I just wish I had the time to make some!!!!

And finally….faux finished pumpkins (after my own heart) in gold, silver and copper leaf courtesy of Caromal Colours (click here to visit site to order kits)

Do you prefer traditional pumpkin carving? Or, which one is your favorite???

For the record…. I did do some pumpkin painting last year:

Wow… they look pretty bad by comparison. But, you can only do what you can do… right?

We’ll probably go traditional again this year…but after seeing all these amazing ideas….I might have to buy a few extra to play with! hook me up with some ModPodge, please?

  • I LOved your pumpkins from last year that you did… when you see pumpkins like this, on front porches, it just makes such a difference – so so so creative! I have WAY too many favorites- LOVE those plaid ones mingled in with plain, the house numbers is neat idea, glittery ones and polka dots are fun fun, , and of course I love the gilded ones 🙂 thanks for the shout!

What are you going to do this year?

For the last couple of years I’ve been a fan of pumpkin painting. Then I wait until the morning of Halloween and carve them up. I tried the modpodge thing from michaels last year with the kids and it was a lot harder then I thought it would be! I have put up some stuff and thought I might do a post soon but I’m leaving town for the weekend so I guess it will have to wait until I get back!

  • Those are all soo cute! I wish I had time for pumpkins as well. I think I may have to make time, now and try to recreate these ideas! Thanks for sharing!

okay “casa de Allwood” we need to forget the pumpkin carving party and turn it into a pumpkin painting party. That only makes sense being that you are the the painting queen. I have to try the zebra and cheetah modpodge thing…too stinkin cute. We could have so much fun if we could just find some time and some money.
P.S are we working out on Sat?

Unfortunately here in Portugal we don’t decorate our houses for Halloween. I’d love the excuse to make some cute pumpkins like that!

I may be doing some pumpkin painting tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration!
