I had the honor of making an arrangement of green and black pumpkins to support a lymphoma event in Kansas City. Getting to decorate pumpkins in a non-traditional color was soooooooooooooooo much fun!!! My friend Jodi helped me throw together this collection and I hope they will inspire you to think outside the box with your fall decor this year!
This pumpkin we first painted black and then I covered in silver leaf. You know I am obsessed with silver leaf right? I have this instructional video showing how to do gold leaf on ceilings, walls and furniture…. but obviously it can be done on ANY surface… including pumpkins!
Jodi covered this pumpkin in glitter and then glued green sequins on the pumpkin and added a gaudy bow to the top because EVERYTHING LOOKS BETTER WITH A GAUDY BOW!!!! (and all the gaudy girls said Amen!)
This pumpkin was stenciled around the middle!
This one decoupaged in tissue paper. Then a glitter stencil overtop of that!
For this pumpkin, we added mod podge in polka dots and used green glitter. And, I found a bat at Hobby Lobby that we glittered in green as well!
And here again is the fun collage. Such a fun break from the traditional fall colors!
