What does one do with an “Ornate Wooden Turntable Display”?

By June 9, 201020 Comments

So I went garage saling last weekend with 2/3 of my kiddos.

Ava scored some princess shoes, a pool ring and some “2009” sunglasses. When I say “Ava scored”…. I mean “it was going home with us ‘cuz Ava refused to take any of it off”.

Look at that girl… garage saling in her princess high heels!!!!

Momma scored an “Ornate Wooden Turntable Display” (that’s what the tag read) !!!!!!

I pulled up to a house, saw it from the street, ran up to check the price and here is what I found:

They had it priced at $200.

And marked it down to $150.

Then marked it down to $85.

Then they had just put up a 1/2 off everything sign.

So, I got it for $42.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yahoo!

But wait…. what does one do with an “Ornate Wooden Turntable Display“?

Idk. That’s probably why it was still sitting in their drive.

Oh my that is a beautiful piece! CAn’t wait to see what you do with it. It could be an unusual side table or my boys would use it for their toys then spin it really fast to see how far their toys would launch. In this house it would more then likely end up to hold some toys in. But it seems like everything else does too.

I can’t wait to see what you do it. I’m sure that it will be fabulous. But this is what I can’t get over, Ava in her “princess” shoes, those shades {especially}, but that pose, has me dying laughing!

I love the scrolls and since I have a thing for them I would have had to buy it too! I think if I had one in my home, I would use it as a plant stand, at least partially anyway. It is beautiful!

Oooh, the possibilities! Will you take it apart or use it as is? Like it is, it could hold books, plants, cookbooks, picture frames, etc. Taken apart, it has beautiful scrolls that could be used in so many things. Keep us posted and show pics of what you do! Fun!

Okay, enough stalking. I’ve been lurking here for awhile, and today I just spit my coffee out at the pic of your daughter. I love her style!
Love the piece you got too, oh the possibilities!

I think at my house it would turn into a bookshelf.

    Score for both of you!

  • You have the cutest daughter EVER – love her outfit! I can’t wait to see what you put in that piece – very cool!

  • Carol says:

Such a fun photo of Ava. I love scrolls, too, so that piece is a beauty in my eyes. Let us know what you end up doing with it.

  • Oh man – Ava and Sophie could hang out. Looks like they have the same stylist and runway coach!

I am thinking the scroll thing looks like something they would use at a fancy hair salon. It would be cute in Ava’s room as a dress-up clothes/jewelry holder.

The ornate turntable is beautiful, BUT….. AVA stole the show. 😀 I love her pose!

  • Great deal!!! At Christmas time you could have such fun with it. Place on your dining room table or in a corner on a table and put floral foam on each level and fill with real pine needles. It would look like a Christmas tree and smell divine too!
