It’s a soft blue paint with that is actually much deeper than it looks in the photos. For the stain, I love using Old Master’s Wood Gel Stain in Dark Walnut.
And you know I have to junk everything up with my trademark blinged-out crystal knobs……
You can find some similar crystal knobs like these HERE. They just add some extra glam, don’t you think? A girl needs glam in her life.
This painted and stained furniture piece would be gorgeous in a master bedroom. Or with a sink cut into the top for a bath vanity like this one we did for our powder room. Or an entryway. Or a living room. It’s a versatile size and neutral farmhouse color for sure.

I know what you mean about the mix of stained and painted finishes. They just have a crisp look about them but I usually see only the top stained and I like how you stained the drawers and the side panels. Lovely job. And enjoy that vacation.

That is beautiful! I think you downplayed how much work that was… I guess you stripped the whole piece? I keep seeing these and have been considering doing the same treatment on my hubby’s chest o’ drawers, and this piece has made the decision for sure!
Shanda….actually I didn’t do any stripping! Just restained over the old stain and painted over the old stain! Glad you like it! =)

You did a wonderful job, Jennifer! I can’t make a comparison between the before and after photo. They look as if they’re two different dressers. The first one look very old-fashioned and rustic, while the new one look very modern and classy. It’s fantastic!
