(I think she thought changing into a swimsuit would somehow help?!?!)I know you moms with 2 year olds are feeling my pain tonight.
I know you mommies with older kids are giggling. That’s ok… you’ll have artistic grand-toddlers one day (smile!)
Now….where is my magic eraser??????

Oh my goodness I’m sorry that I think this is adorable! Mostly because mine are 9 and almost 12 now and it took me back to the time they each colored themselves crazy! Also there was a time where my daughter thought a bathing suit made EVERYTHING better! Even worse she always wanted to wear her rain boots with it!?!? She’d try her hardest to convince me to let her wear that combo to go with me to pick her brother up from school! 😉
My 2-year-old Tessa, is just the same! She tried to redecorate her newly painted bedroom and furniture, just a week or two after it was painted (fortunately most of that marker was washable)! It kills me because she’ll say “we only draw on paper.” But I find her little gems all over the place.
On the bright side, I do think she will grow up to be very artistic! Maybe a muralist? 🙂
my daughter likes to express her inner picasso as well…. all over the playroom walls, and all over herself as well! i found her once, when she was supposed to be napping, with marker all over her legs as well. she had been in bed drawing on herself instead! we are huge fans of sidewalk chalk and let the kids draw all over the deck and even on the siding on the backside of the house where no one can see. i don’t know if this is a good idea, or if it just confuses boundaries as to where it is appropriate to draw! love the bathing suit- that was a nice touch. 😉
Oh yes… I’ve been there and done that. 🙂 My youngest is 4 and is “way pass” coloring on walls or furniture… now she’s into spilling glitter on carpet. :-0 Aren’t Magic Erasers the best… a mother’s best friend.

My girlfriends little girl thought their new white leather sofa was the perfect clean space to draw…with markers. She went online and found what to use to clean it…good thing too..she had to do it THREE times.After the first two times when asked if she promised not to do that again (this is after time out etc) she looked my friend straight in the eye and nodded that YES she would do it again..and she did LOL. After the last time she shook her head no…and so far so good. LOL (The sofa was cleaned and all was forgiven…but there was a day when my friend said she was thinking of listing her on Craigslist LOL)
On days like this you wonder why permanent markers were ever invented!
Keep the writing behind the dresser….unbelievably…you will miss it someday.
Mine are 16 & 19 so yes, I was chuckling! My first experience w/a creative toddler was when I was babysitting as a teen. Before they left, the parents went on an on about their newly painted living room and all the work they put into it and to be watchful of little so and so. Don’t you know the minute they left and I turned my back for a second she colored the walls too, just like Mommy & Daddy! Your photos are so cute to capture this moment as frustrating as it may be. Hey once my son wrote on his newborn sister’s face with purple marker! I feel your pain. Also we thought a giant chalkboard painted right on the wall was a good idea…but that can lead to writing on any wall!

Must be something in the air because my 4 year old decided to write on the wall in the entry way yesterday! When questioned why he did it, he responded with a “Don’t worry mom, it will wash off when it rains”. (you think the outdoors chalk has something to do with that)?

So sweet! My youngest use to write all over the walls but apparently I did as I kid too, so how can I judge. I use to write names (perhaps I knew then I would create signs one day) Love the magic eraser!

Her little face is so cute! I have a post waiting to go up sometime that looks very similar to that! Ella has been drawing little pictures all over my house. I was mad at first but now think the pictures are kind of sweet. I guess you just have to laugh after awhile.

Wow…do I feel your pain! When my oldest was 2, he discovered that stones in the driveway make great ‘pencils’ on sides of cars. We drove around with a smiley face on the car for a while. Then, when his younger brother came along, he added one next to it! How do they move so quickly?! My little ‘princess’ shared her talent with a permanent marker on the cabinets and floors of our brand new house a week after we moved in. Honestly…you’d think I don’t watch my children! lol
My daughter did the same thing!! So funny:) Cute pictures!
I can totally relate!!! My now 8 yr-old wrote all over the house with a yellow highlighter the letters “sew” to this day we don’t know why he picked those letters. He wrote on the kitchen cabibets, walls, doors, clothes, everything he could get his little hands on. And now my 3 year old (I thought it would be a good idea to give her a white board/chalkboard easel for Christmas) has been “creative” all over my vintage couch and one of my favorite antique bakers hutch. Also her sister’s bedroom walls and of course her arms and legs. Take pictures, you may be a little upset now but they grow sooo fast. You’ll look back and it will warm your heart you’ll see.
We had to take away all the crayons and markers to only be used under strict supervision because of my little “creative genius.” Thank GOD for the Magic Eraser. I should buy stock in Mr. Clean!

This is prescious…just think of it as ‘how blessed you are to be able to experience this’ and she is adorable…it sure put a smile on my face but then I guess I don’t have to clean it up!

I’m sitting here rolling with laughter! You see, when my kids were 5 and 7, I painted the entire house ~ walls, trim, louvered doors, you name it! I was exhausted but very pleased. A couple days after finishing, my daughter ~ then age 5 ~ called me to come into her room. Yep! She had colored allllllll over one wall and was so excited to show me. I don’t think I even had the strength for a time out. 🙂 Kids ~ what a trip!

I’m feeling your pain. My friend’s five year old cut up the back of her club chair with a knife just cuz. Little gangster. And she was so proud of how he uses tools and fixes things around the house.
But how could you stay mad at a cutie pie like that? Love the time out shot! You’ll have to show that at her wedding one day. Cute!
