We just had French doors installed in our dining room!!!! And I love it!
This is the area that separates my office from my hubby’s home office. And sometimes momma needs quiet…………….
You may remember we recently installed THESE BARN DOORS on one side of my office.
And now that the French doors are in… my office is nice and quiet whenever I need to do coaching calls or record a podcast!
So this is the opening into our dining room. All the room details can be found HERE.
We ordered these French doors from Home Depot. You can find them on my affiliate link HERE.
And we had a construction person (hello, Tom!) install these for us. There are a few reasons we did not do it ourself and they are:
- time
- sanity
And there you have it. Smart people hire out hard stuff. Lol.
And then the girls who work for me at The Magic Brush began the painting process! (hello, Stephanie!).
I used “Tricorn Black” which is no surprise. You all know from my list of my 50 favorite paint colors that I am obsessed with Tricorn Black. And…. it’s the color of my dining room ceiling!
OMGOSH…. obsessed with the black!
We kept the transom at the top white because it matches the trim in the rest of the house and wouldn’t make the doors feel too top heavy.
And we added the cutest little crystal handles you ever did see from Amazon. You can find them on my affiliate link HERE.
The glass lets in the light.
But the doors keep out the crazy. Lol.
I am in love!
This is the first time I have had French doors in any house that we have lived in… and I am in love!
Happy decorating!
Jen

Love the french doors in black. I was wondering what paint finish did you use? I’d love to give this color a try.
Hi! I was wondering the same thing. What finish did you use!? Beautiful!
These are GORGEOUS! What a smart way to keep all of that light but still get some separation from the chaos in the household. I never would have though black would look so chic but it totally does. Love it!!
I really like what you have done, I know you chose to keep the transom white but I think you missed the opportunity for added drama by painting it black. Either way it’s gorgeous!
