Mock Croc Stair Carpet

When we bought the new house, one of the first things we wanted to do was take out the brown stair carpet.

We used to have dark brown stair carpet in our old house, and I absolutely loved it. But, I just knew that we wanted the new house to be much more bright, light, colorful, and modern.

So, we went out to Nebraska Furniture Mart (one of our favorite places!) to search for some new stair carpet. Jason found this mock croc pattern and we both totally fell in love with it. Anyone that knows me knows I loooove crocodile anything.

We looked at it in a light option and a dark option, but we ended up choosing the lighter one… Again, just trying to keep the colors much lighter and brighter in the new house. It’s Shaw Floors “Small Friend” in the color “Tea Leaf”.

We had it installed and I absolutely love how it turned out. The pattern makes it interesting and it adds sooo much texture to the area.

So, there you have it, my friends! Having a light, bright, colorful home makes me sooooo happy. And I feel like our stair area lost a good 20 lbs with this simple update! LOL.
